We act as the data controller for personal information described in this policy, except where we process data solely on behalf of another party.

We may collect:

• Account information — email address, display name, authentication identifiers
• Portfolio data — symbols and holdings you choose to add (not brokerage credentials unless you explicitly connect them in future features)
• Usage data — features used, watches, searches, Deep Insights, language preferences
• Payment data — billing status and Stripe customer identifiers (card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us)
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, cookies/session tokens, and error logs
• Communications — messages you send to support

We use personal information to:

• Provide, secure, and improve the Service
• Personalize Live Feed sorting, SwiftPrism Intel priority, and portfolio-aware features
• Process subscriptions and prevent fraud
• Send transactional emails (sign-up, password reset, billing notices)
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
• Analyse aggregated, de-identified usage to improve product quality

SwiftPrism Intel and related features send prompts and context (e.g. headlines, event text, portfolio symbols) to AI service providers to generate summaries and insights.

Do not submit sensitive personal information you do not want processed for this purpose. AI outputs are automated and may be stored in your Intelligence Library for your account.

Depending on your location, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement, fraud prevention), consent (where required, e.g. optional marketing), and legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with service providers who assist us under contractual safeguards, including:

• Stripe — payments and subscription management
• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Vercel — application hosting
• OpenAI (or similar) — AI analysis when you use intelligence features
• Resend (or similar) — transactional email delivery
• Market data and content providers — as needed to deliver feeds and calendar data

Your data may be processed in countries outside New Zealand (including the United States and the European Union) where our providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

We retain account and usage data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

You may request account deletion; we will delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; request a portable copy of your data; or lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.

We use essential cookies and browser local storage for authentication, session management, and preferences (e.g. feed focus mode, onboarding state).

We do not use third-party advertising cookies at launch. If we add analytics, we will update this policy.

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

SwiftPrism is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. We may also notify you by email for significant changes.
